The “Social Contract” was the first time around the 17th and 18th century by a group of thinkers like Thomas Hobbes, John Locke and Jean-Jacques Rousseau introduced. The underlying idea is the assumption that the individual agrees to give some of their freedom to be imposed in exchange for their freedom, not the other.
